The new look is here!

You might be wondering why everything looks so different. Well, after days of planning and hours of coding, I've finally got the blog looking the way I want it.

Let's take a look at all the changes in detail:

The most notable new feature is the 'Read More' button that you'll see on the main page. Every article that is big enough (in terms of scrolling size) will have the folowing footer while displayed on the main page:

As the image implies, you click the Yusei image above to read the full article.
The great thing about this is that it lets me have more than one post on the main page. Previously I'd have to wait a day or two to post a new article since the first one wouldn't be as accessible (people usually read the main page and then leave). With this new feature I can post as many articles as I want in quick succession and you won't miss anything!

Next we have the new links, which "should" (sometimes they won't, it's a glitchy thing I can't get around right now) highlight when hovered over with the mouse. Links to the 4 main forums I frequent, along with other useful links (plus Rauzes' blog, The Gaijin Duelist, which is probably the best OCG-based blog out there):

Features that took up too much space (like the Twitter Updates) in the past are now enclosed in these tidy little buttons to make the whole site look better.

Advertising posters for local tournaments in Ireland (which I also designed) are at the top of the side bar, with print-size versions just a click away.

Next we have the navigation buttons:

You might have noticed the green arrows from the old layout and wondered what they did. Now things are more obvious, with each button doing exactly as shown. (also take note of the 'Top' button, which is always in the bottom-right corner, and can take you back to the top of any page instantly)

Other than these, and the new colour scheme and banner, not much has changed. The Google Search bar is at the top of the page, and the hit counters have been updated to reflect the new look. Over at the Custom Playmats blog, the same links have been added.

Feel free to let me know what you think of all the updates, and if there are any new features you'd like to see.
