YCS Paris content already going online.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Paris is only a few short days away and I'll be there on behalf of Konami to bring you all the action live as it happens. You can view the coverage at the link on the top of this blog (or here) and you'll see that content is already going up related to the event:

Konami has recently announced that cards from Hidden Arsenal 4 will not be legal for play in the YCS main event. This does, of course, not apply for cards that have been printed in previously-released products that are re-printed in Hidden Arsenal 4.

All those cards are still egal for play in any of the YCS Paris public events, including Dragon Duel and the YCS Trial.

Please also note that certain promotional cards that haven’t been released in Europe are not allowed for tournament play in Europe at all. This concerns, among others, cards from the SHONEN JUMP magazine (e.g. Malefic Stardust Dragon) and from the GX Mangas (e.g. Elemental Hero The Shining etc.). A detailed list of such cards can be found at the legality page.

If you have a question about any of these issues, please feel free to ask a judge at the event for clarification.

Public Event info has also been posted, here's a sample.

There will also be “ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!” events in Paris. They are 32-player single-elimination events, and the winner will walk away with an oversized Yu-Gi-Oh! card, appx. 1 meter high!

A maximum of four events will be offered, with the following six cards being available: Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier, Odin, Father of Aesir, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and, as a special Extreme Victory preview cards, T.G. Halberd Cannon!

To celebrate the release of Turbo Pack 5, there will also be special Turbo Pack 5 events: 32 participants can Duel in this single-elimination events and win Turbo Packs for each round they win. There will be additional packs for the winner and the runner-up. These event start on Saturday at 14:00 and on Sunday at 11:30. Please note that if you win Turbo Packs 5 in this event, you can’t play those cards in other events until after Turbo Pack 5 is officially released.
